UCI Clients Volunteer at Past Charity of the Quarter
Our Charity of the Quarter Referral Program is something that is truly near and dear to our hearts. It embraces so many things which we feel strongly about; community, teamwork, and philanthropy. As a staff, we come together each quarter to discuss different programs we believe make positive impacts on the NOCO communities…
When we heard that clients from Grover, CO were driving nearly an hour to volunteer their time at one of our past featured Not-for-Profits, we were over-the-moon excited! We wanted to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU to Beth and Dave Klinginsmith for their kindness in donating both time and resources to The Resource Center of Greeley!
Several years ago the Klinginsmiths read about The Resource Center when we featured it in our newsletter as our Charity of the Quarter. “We really try and research organizations [before we donate to them],” said Beth. The Klinginsmiths always wonder, “Will our resources be used wisely?” After stopping by the center one day, being brought in, given a tour of the facilities and being told about the story, the mission, and the daily activities, they were more than convinced The Resource Center was worthy of their support!
Shortly after, Beth attended a training day – a process of more than 15 hours of training and testing was necessary before she was even allowed to work under an experienced volunteer! For more than three years Beth has volunteered her time and was even recognized as Volunteer of the Year! Beth and Dave describe this organization as having the highest level of dignity, respect, compassion, and integrity.
Thank you again to the Klinginsmiths for taking their philanthropy to the next level and sharing their story with us!
