Dev Granberg Starts at Dallas Baptist University Baseball

If you haven’t noticed by now, we love to support and encourage our Greeley, Weld County, and Northern Colorado Community. This also includes family, as family matters. (Que the Family Matters theme tune…)

So today we want to give a shout out to Dev Granberg, Lori and Mark’s son.

Dev started school this year at Dallas Baptist University and will be playing baseball for them. He recently graduated from Cisco College in West Central Texas and played baseball for the junior college, even making it to the Junior College World Series and winning the Marucci Elite Hitter Award. He had a .688 batting average and led his team in doubles.

Here is an interview with Dev from the JUCO World Series:

We’re excited to see what Dev does this year at Dallas Baptist University (DBU). This is an exciting opportunity for Dev as he will be playing with a team with a rich history in college baseball.

DBU’s baseball program currently has 21 alumni playing professional baseball. You might recognize the names Ryan Goins with the Blue Jays or Ben Zobrist with the Cubs who are current notable alumni. The program has seen players become drafted in the pro leagues since 1967 and have had All-American athletes almost every year since 1977.

The stadium, Horner Ballpark has just been named the 20th best college ballpark in the nation. Since opening in 2013, Horner Ballpark has seen an impressive .692 win percentage.

An exciting place for Dev to continue his college baseball career! Good luck to him this year!
