Here is a great little workshop to help you manage your forage quality and quantity.  Saturday, May 17- 8:30 am – 4:00 pm.  This also applies to dryland situation.

Event begins at the Berthoud Community Center (248 Welch Ave, Berthoud) followed by a field tour at Herston Farms

Registration is $20/ person or $30/ couple

Topics will include:

•             Growth, Development and Defoliation responses of forage

•             Irrigation and water requirements for pastures to maximize production

•             Fertility requirements of pastures, using heat days 

•             Field demonstrations using clipping plots, fertilizer plots based on degree days
